A buck33 in rushing vs. the 107th D-1aa rushing defense @ home…

…as our Hokies move to 3-1 on the year. Many of you expected that at this point (i.e. not beating the possible 2007 MNC LSU away). But did you expect us to only out-gain lowly Bill & Mary by only 15 total yards at this point in the year???

Not a pretty day folks. Many of us had some I-Net viewing issues, and frankly our OLine had an even worse day fulfilling their manifest destiny vs. the Tribe. 3 and change in rushing per play, vs. a D-1aa DLine, that fields 3 sophmore starters, and only one guy north of 260 lbs. That simply will not cut it starting with the month of October. How will this lack of VT running game fare vs. the top-6 remaining ACC teams we must face, and we face 5 of that 6 on consecutive weeks. Then how about nearly 100 yards worth of yellow laundry in reverse? Yikes!

On the good side, B.Bowden continues his rookie campaign for all-ACC honors, the VT linebacking future looks solid for at least another year, as P.Strdivant had a career day coming off the bench (and does he remind you of #55 Myron Newsome or what?) B.Warren just might be as instinctive as V.Hall is (less just a little speed), and that’s saying something. While Jud Dunlevy remains perfect hyphen 2007. The defense was solid, and check out the possible record-setting 29 different Hokies recording a tackle on the day. Wow!

I’ll leave the rest to Chris, Will, then Raleigh. But we have more than a little work to do before we travel to Death Valley, and we only have 4 quarters left to get well soon. b-st.
