b’log v1.01: Tech Tidbits…Thursday Night viewing guide…

Here’s a few statistical points to consider before you make your picks in the Official Prediction Thread later today: Virginia Tech is…………..

  • VT is 35-3 in September since 1995.
  • But, we are 1-7 as double digit dogs since 1992.
  • Beamer is 1-13 vs. the Top-5 all-time.
  • Beamer is 1-4 all-time vs. the #2 ranked team in D-1

Here is your weekend TV viewing guide, enjoy!

As for tonight; we have Denny Crum polyester jacket University set to detonate on a once fairly solid rushing team, known as Middle Tennessee State. Well, at least they were fairly solid or at least hovering right around .500 while the SEC transfer pipeline was still open. These days? Not so much. Louisville rolls, but do note the improved Cardinal Oline, and ergo, their improved rushing attack this year. It’s in the Cards. Louisville by 30+.

The other game is intriguing in a twofold sense. First up, because you never see a PAC-10 team visiting the high school talent rich state of Ohio, and because Cincinnati always seems to mess around with a big-name, (like us last year), and manages to pluck a big-name scalp every third or forth year. The Bearcat’s blew out a D-1aa Directional Nobody State last week, so there’s not much to gleam from that. Oregon State however, controlled a fairly solid Utah squad last week, despite a suspect -2 Turnover Margin, and a sideswipe with an abysmal passing day. The Bearcats have 6 of their front-7 back on defense, and only start 1 underclassman on the whole team. They will give OR.State a fit, but the Beavers look to have a bit too much depth, despite missing the services of their best starting offensive lineman. OR.State by 10 or less.
