LSU out-takes: watching the first-half, looks like the race to 13 is on…

…or maybe that’s the race to 10? Miss.State does not look so awful, sans their 3 INT’s. But Dorsey is the truth. He reminds me of an old Big East DT who played for…

…the Miami Hurricanes. Dorsey, like Waren Sapp, is a bowling ball, but a well-manicured bowling-ball. Very nimble to be such a powerhouse on the inside. Color me very impressed. LSU’s defense is very fast as well. Something of a slightly less bulky UGA, but with more team speed than the Bulldogs had.

The one thing that seems to work (well, somewhat well), is running a big RB straight at the left DT of LSU (away from Dorsey). But we really don’t have that kind of RB. Graham vs. Dorsey should concern you, as that’s asking a lot of a starter with only four quarters under his belt.

As I said earlier Flynn has nice wheels. Kinda reminds me of Chuck Bednarik’s nephew up at wvu. Nice but not great passer, well above average runner, but not a true runner either, a blended Qb with the lowest possible B- ceiling if you will. I really like our chances vs. the LSU offense. Hester is no cat, he will put his helmet down and grind for yards, but he’s not fast enough to run on us. The other two are indeed faster, but they are not physical enough.

So it may be a while come September 8th before someone scores. I’ll try to have a bit more after the second-half. b-st.
