Have not been many teams from this conference in my BstreetCS.

But this is a very solid football team that is an tried and true testimonial to the depth of high school football in the sunny citrus state from which it sprang.  It’s also a team with one of the, if not the most unheralded dual-threat Qb’s in all of D-1. A team with defensive speed to burn, and a program very much on the rise, and do pay attention to just how far they have risen in only seven years of football history! Try this vital on for size…….how about nearly 60 wins in your first seven years???

Others receiving bourbon: CAL, Nebraska, Florida State, Michigan State, Oregon, Kansas, TCU, Boise State, Iowa, Rutgers, UNC, Alabama, ECU, Hawaii, Northwestern, Arizona, OK.State, Iowa, Central Michigan, Florida Atlantic, Mississippi, Maryland, Miami of FLA (thanks to the discussion in the part I).

15th Texas Tech Red Raiders (Big-12):

14th your Virginia Tech Hokies (ACC):

13th Auburn Tigers (SEC):

12th South Florida Bulls (big east): This is a team and a program I’m really starting to like. I’ll even go so far as to say we should have tabbed So.FLA on a futures wager over B.C., or at least pencil them in at the top of any potential down the road ACC expansion list. This could very well be So.FLA’s best football team of all-time, and that is saying a lot when you consider that last year da Bulls were ranked #2 overall at one point. So.FLA has 10 back on offense lead by perhaps the best next level candidate in-conference at Qb in one Matt Grothe. A more prototypical pocket Qb who can also get you about 1K per year with his wheels. Da Bulls only replace one OT, and his replacement is a 5th year senior. Also expect improved play from presiouvly very adequate Rb’s and Wr’s, who all return. So.FLA does have 7 back on defense, but 8 of the overall 11 are listed as pre-season all-conference candidates. George Selvie at De is a Pro bookend, 1 OLB and both S’s will easily be drafted after this year. Though some would say that So.FLA needs a little work at Linebacker and at Db. But what I really love about da Bulls is the fact while Pitt has the most physical big east defense; So.FLA clearly has the most athletic one. That’s what it takes to beat wvu folks. Speed to match wvu in pursuit sideline to sideline, and heavy hitters when the do collide. Just ask Bud Foster and then ask So.FLA head coach Jim Leavitt (who has swept wvu since 2005). Strengths=aggressive play making defense, offensive balance. Needs to improve=not, much, as no unit rankings are listed below average, though a little more HR hitting outta the So.FLA offense would not be a bad thing when da Bulls trail.

If they played: So.Fla=26 VT=20.
