In order to be the man; yah gotta beat the man!

Seems like this team won something or another last year.

Hmmmmmm. Now what was that? Did they just so happen to turn us inside out in what was very possibly Frank’s worst nite ever? Did Shaq-Fu and Chris Jackson and Stanley Roberts become the greatest trifecta of college hoops talent to not win a national championship this side of Michael Jordan playing above his freshman year? Are they your near-shot MNC contender with a “Pistol”? They should be.

9th LSU Bayou Bengals (SEC) : LSU prolly has, oh, say, no less than Top-5 or so raw talent, but they also have the MNC bull’s-eye on their back’s as everyone will be International Space Station sky high to play them this year.  They have the savage in-fighting docket otherwise know as the 2008 SEC schedule, and tons of super-star N.F.L. talent departures to go along with a rookie Qb. LSU is great, but 2008 is really a reload for a MNC run in 2009 or 2010. The Bengals do have 4 back on their 2008 OLine, that helps, but LSU’s skill positions have thinned a bit, Pivot in particular is very unproven at this moment. Rb looks like a committee including an escape from the Vah.Tech Hargrave pipeline and this 5`5“ guy (seriously, click me!) The Bengal defense has lost even more, and only has 2 full-time returning starters in it’s hind-7. That typed, LSU does have the best set of De’s in the SEC, and possibly the best DLine. However, how LSU will defend the pass is at best unknown with rookie sophomores taking over both Safety spots and the all-important MLB station. LSU will rock some SEC front-runners world later on in 2008, but there will be some growing pains in the 2008 Bengals paw in addition to the early season proverbial thorn. Strengths=team wide talent, both frontlines, Turnover Margin. Needs to improve=Return teams, inexperience.

By the time a January Bowl arrives, this team could be playing the best ball in a D-1aa Play-Off format.

LSU 30 VT 15.
