Hmmmmmmmmmmm…………I wonder who this team could be???

They play in a stadium who’s name is the same as the surname of Superman’s main squeeze. They have played in their conference championship game 67% of the time since it officially began. They have won the gold medal in their conference 50% of the time in the last four years. They have much speculated upon new uniforms, and with all due respect…sugar cookies are very much not on their menu.

Others receiving bourbon: CAL, Nebraska, Florida State, Michigan State, Oregon, Kansas, TCU, Boise State, Iowa, Rutgers, UNC, Alabama, ECU, Hawaii, Northwestern, Arizona, OK.State, Iowa, Central Michigan, Florida Atlantic, Mississippi, Maryland, Miami of FLA (thanks to the discussion in the part I).

14th, your Virginia Tech Hokies! (ACC) Here are links to my exhaustive VT previews.

Erasmus, the champion Dutch philosopher opined that truly epic quote that I humbly choose as the title for this write-up about 5oo years ago; and that pretty much sums up our likely path to the Coastal side of the ACC Title game to me. Not much has changed since I coined those previews either. I’m still waiting to see what our August injury report reads like the day before ECU. Then I’ll still be waiting to see where our record is on our flight home from Lincoln. Those are what I consider to the the 2008 prognostication tollbooths to our football fate this year. The question is…….do we have the exact change?

If we are indeed still perfect on said flight out of Lincoln Airport, we have the inside track to the ACC title game and a very fair chance at the B.C.S. auto-birth firmly in hand; as I love how we match-up vs. both Wake and Klempson (in that order).

If we beat UNC and Miami, we should do no less than participate in the ACC championship game. However, the time to play VT this year is found in the acronym of A.S.A.P., as we are thin at Linebacker and at Wideout, and injuries to superstars like Kam and Macho would prove disagreeable. So go ahead and book it!!! This is our ineluctable narrowest margin of error since 2001; and accordingly, 2008 will be our lowest scoring offense since the days of one Al Clark. But this is also the weakest the ACC Coastal has ever been on the whole since its inception, don’t forget that when making post-season plans. As that does not hurt our Coastal chances one iota. Strengths=Qb depth, non-offensive scoring, Bud Foster, Bud Foster, did I mention Bud Foster yet? Needs to improve=in B.C.S. terms…a somewhat primitive cave dwelling 100th ranked offense, crustaceans at TSL.com tailgates, 2008 season long top-22 baller(s) health, HR hitting ability on offense.

If they played: VT=Super Bowl champs, VT=infinity.
